Lying there, I wasn't sure what to make of what had happened. It was as if I was wearing a pair of fogged up glasses. It was a dream, and it wasn't. But things were different, and everything changed in that moment. I wasn't sure how the coming weeks were going to pan out, though acceptance stood with it's arm around me . . . Months later, I was driving south. It was late morning and the moon had one eye on me. I was completely overcome in that moment, and a feeling grew inside me that was looking for an exit. And I howled . . . loud and long. And then it happened again. That had never happened before. But on this day, a howl was what harmonized with the feeling I felt, to be able take another step, on another day . . .
